flametree artgarden & gallery

Brief// Identity development for a purpose built little art gallery and sculpture garden in Coatesville just north of Auckland. The name derives itself from two large flametrees overlooking the art garden. The client needed something that conveyed the fine beauty yet boldness of the trees in bloom.

Solution/  a range of floral hand drawings which have the quality of fine calligraphy. Elements of these were further developed to form the main logo, while others function as additional style elements in the complete brand identity. The brand was then applied to considered stationery, promotional leaflets, a custom built website as well as signage.

The newly founded gallery proved highly successful. In 2013 the business was put on hold for the time being due to family reasons.
